Yes, you are reading this correctly. In September, it’s possible to enroll in our Professional Chefs Junior program in the evening. These evening classes came out of the wishes of our prospective students. People who have a day job but are also interested in maybe changing their career to become a chef, or who simply want to learn how to cook professionally as a special skill. Everyone is welcome to join the classes of our Junior Chefs program in Amsterdam.
Throughout the 5-month tuition period, you attend classes once a week, always on the same day of the week.
Classes are used for practice only, so there is no sitting in a classroom listening to teachers, but always cooking and learning by doing. The Junior Chefs course teaches you all about the Big 5. These are the most important basic kitchen skills.
The program is divided into 5 modules:
Module 1. Topic: Cutting and cooking techniques
Module 2. Topic: Broths, soups, and gravy
Module 3. Topic: Making and preparing compositions
Module 4. Topic: Egg-based sauces, vinaigrettes, and mayonnaise
Module 5. Topic: Review of basic techniques
