The training consists of 3 online contact moments via Zoom with an experienced trainer, plus the exam on location.
1st online meeting (group meeting of approximately 2-3 hours)
During the first online meeting, the trainer will explain the online training program. You will also learn about the exam and what is expected of you. Finally, the trainer will provide more information about the portfolio that you must submit and the accompanying assignments.
2nd online meeting (group meeting of approximately 2-3 hours)
During this second online meeting, you will work as practically as possible with your fellow participants. You will practice the practical exam, and the trainer will go into greater depth on topics that will be tested during the exam.
3rd online meeting (group meeting of approximately 1 hour)
All participants will come together for a final time and have the opportunity to ask questions about the assignments and the exam. Depending on the group size and the number of questions asked, this training will last approximately one hour.
There is a two-week break between the 1st and 2nd meeting.
There is a one-week break between the 2nd and 3rd meeting.
The exam follows immediately after. This takes place at a location in The Hague. Information about the location and times will be provided during the training.
Currently, we have one fixed location, namely at our Horeca Academie in The Hague. It is easily accessible by public transport (right in front of Laan van NOI station). What will you learn during this training?
These online trainings prepare you for the Mentor in hospitality exam. After you have passed the exam, you will receive the offcial Mentor in Hospitality diploma. You need this diploma to officially guide students chefs/ workers in the hospitality industry in their BBL education program.
You will also learn much more, for example, in the areas of communication and leadership. Many practical situations will be covered in the training, which participants can bring up themselves. This way, you can also use the content later in the workplace. The theoretical part is also offered in an active way: through an online learning environment. There, you will receive the necessary information through videos, games, and other interactive methodes.
The Mentor training covers the following topics:
- How young people learn.
- Influencing behavior.
- Motivating people.
- Effective coaching.
- uiding the education of students.
- Assessing student performance.
The cost of the training are €725,00 (excluding VAT). This includes a license for the digital learning environment and the exam. There are no unexpected costs. Payment is made via iDEAL. If you prefer to receive an invoice, you can indicate this when you register.
